Peg-Out Survey

A peg-out survey, also known as a set-out survey, is a type of survey that involves placing physical marks. These marks may be related to property boundaries, proposed buildings or structures/features to be built.

It involves transferring points and/or levels from plans and engineering drawings to the site, ensuring structures are built in the correct location.

When do you need a peg-out survey?

A boundary peg-out is usually required if a structure such as a fence or retaining wall is to be built on or near the boundary and the occupants of the land want to ensure that the structure is built in the correct location.

Other peg-out surveys are required for new house construction, building additions such as extensions or carports, roads and kerb, drainage pits and pipes, etc.
